2.6.3. Adjustment of the vacuum block of a turbocharger (the turbocharger is removed)

Adjustment

Fig. 2.222. Hose of the vacuum block

Remove a hose from the vacuum block on a turbocharger (fig. 2.222).

Fig. 2.220. Lock plate of the lever of a turbocharger

Remove a lock plate 1 via the lever of a turbocharger (fig. 2.220).

Fig. 2.221. A draft detachment from a turbocharger

Weaken a lock-nut of 2 (fig. 2.221).

Fig. 2.223. Adjusting nut of the bypass valve

Previously adjust bypass the valve 1 corrugated nut so that the valve was hardly scrolled by hand (fig. 2.223).
By hand twirl a lock-nut.

Fig. 2.224. Installation of the manual vacuum pump

Connect the manual vacuum pump, a turbocharger tester to the socket II and the reducing valve, as shown in the figure 2.224.
Close the reducing valve the lever 1.
Establish a mobile ring of 1 manual vacuum pump in situation B for "pressure" (fig. 2.225).

Fig. 2.225. Installation of a mobile ring of the vacuum pump

To include a tester of a turbocharger and install the mobile switch in situation II.

Fig. 2.226. Fixing of the indicator of hour type on a turbocharger

Fix a universal support of the indicator of hour type on a turbocharger (fig. 2.226).

NOTE
Data in mm belong to an only a few indicator (contains 1 mm of preliminary shift).

Fix the indicator of hour type with the extender of 30 mm and the flat probe on a universal support of the indicator of hour type.
Install with a pressure of 0 bars the indicator of hour type on a preliminary tightness in 1 mm.
Turn the index of the indicator of hour type in situation 0.
Check ease of the course of the indicator.
Set the manual vacuum pump in motion until on a tester of a turbocharger value of pressure of 350 ±5 Mbar appears.
The indicator of hour type has to show from 4,1 to 4,3 mm, otherwise follows rotate a corrugated nut until this value is reached.
By hand twirl a lock-nut.
Repeat measurement.
Dump pressure via the reducing valve to 0 Mbar.
Install the indicator of hour type in situation 0.

NOTE
The subsequent measurements have to be executed in the specified sequence. Pressure at measurements cannot be lowered to 0.

Set the manual vacuum pump in motion until on a tester of a turbocharger value of pressure of 350 ±5 Mbar appears.
Consider an indicator on the indicator and write down it.
Set the manual vacuum pump in motion until on a tester of a turbocharger value of pressure of 650-700 Mbar appears.
Dump pressure via the reducing valve to 350 ±5 Mbar.
Consider an indicator on the indicator and write down it.
Put indicators 1 and 2 and to divide the sum on 2.
The result (average value) has to make 5 ±0,25 mm.
If as a result average value is not equal to 5 ±0,25 mm, follows modify adjustment, tighten a lock-nut by hand and repeat measurement.
If average value is equal to 5 ±0,25 mm, tighten a lock-nut and record it the fixing varnish.
Fix a lock plate 1 over the lever of the vacuum block (fig. 2.220).
