2.6.19. Electric check of the fuel pumpCheck conditions
The minimum voltage of the accumulator is 12,5 Century.
The safety lock in a block of safety locks has to be serviceable (a nest 28).
The relay of the fuel pump of a nest of 1 block on 9 relays behind a glove compartment from the driver has to be serviceable (fig. 2.270). The fuel filter has to be serviceable.
Ignition is switched off.
Procedure for test
Open a cover of the block of safety locks on the left side of the dashboard.
Take out a safety lock from a block of safety locks (the left row, the 5th big safety lock from above).
Connect remote control by means of an adaptor cable to the right plug of a socle.
Connect the tightening plug to the plug (+) joint stock bank of the car.
Press the switch of remote control.
After that noise of operation of the pump has to be heard.

NOTE
The fuel pump works very quietly. During check of the fuel pump do not allow extraneous noises.
If noise of operation of the pump is not heard, make the following actions.

Limousine
Remove a luggage carrier upholstery.
Cast away if necessary the right back of a back seat forward.
Avant
Remove a back 1/3 at the left.
Remove a luggage carrier covering sideways at the left and a mud-reception bathtub.

Connect a manual multimeter for voltage measurement on contacts of 1 and 4 (fig. 2.271). Press the switch of remote control.
Preset value: прибл. as accumulator tension.
If the actual value below of set, eliminate a rupture of a chain, having used the electric circuit.
If the actual value equally set though noise of operation of the pump is not heard, remove knot of supply of fuel (fig. 2.272). Make sure that the electric wires connecting a flange and the fuel pump are connected, check their conductivity.
If problems in conducting are not revealed, so the fuel pump is faulty – replace fuel supply knot.
Establish fuel supply knot.
