1.6.24. Help of launch of the engine

In emergency the engine it is possible get by means of the accumulator of other car.
If the engine is not started as the accumulator is discharged, then for launch of the engine it is possible to use the accumulator of other car. Start-up from an auxiliary cable is for this purpose necessary.
Both accumulators have to have rated voltage 12 V. Emkost of the tokootdayushchy accumulator (measured in ampere-hours) should not be much lower, than at discharged.
Auxiliary cables
As auxiliary it is possible to use only cables with rather big section. Pay attention to the parameters specified by manufacturer of a cable.
Use only cables with the isolated polar clips.
Positive cable – most often red color the Negative cable – most often black color.

The discharged accumulator can freeze already at 0 °C. Before connection of auxiliary cables to the frozen accumulator let's it thaw surely. Otherwise he can explode.

He has to be contact between cars. Otherwise the chain will become isolated already at connection of plus conclusions.
The discharged accumulator has to be properly connected to onboard network of the car.
Switch-off if necessary automobile phone. More detailed information in this case can be obtained from the operation manual on automobile phone.

Launch of the engine
Connect auxiliary cables in the set sequence.

Connection of positive conclusions positive cable (red)
Fix one end of a cable on a positive conclusion of 1 discharged accumulator A (fig. 1.176).

Other end of a cable connects to a positive conclusion 2 tokootdayushchy batteries B.

Connection of negative conclusions negative cable (black)
Fix one end of a cable on a negative conclusion 3 tokootdayushchy batteries B.
Other end of a cable connects to a negative conclusion 4 discharged the accumulator A.
Start the engine of the tokootdayushchy car. The engine it is necessary to idle.
Start the car engine with the discharged accumulator.
If the engine is not started, stop attempt of start-up through 10 with and repeat process of start-up later 30 pages.
When the engine is started, disconnect both cables, working strictly in the return sequence.
The accumulator of the car is equipped with system of external ventilation. The gas which is formed in the accumulator thereby is removed from the car.
You monitor sufficient metal contact of the connected polar clips.
