1.6.17. Control of level of oil

Level of oil is determined by a marking of the maslomerny probe.

Determination of level of oil
Kill the engine.
Take the maslomerny probe.
Wipe the probe with pure fabric and again insert into a nest against the stop.

In conclusion take the probe and consider indications on its marking (fig. 1.166).
If oil level in a zone and – oil cannot be added.
If oil level in a zone b – oil can be added. At the same time it is admissible if after that oil is in a zone a.
If oil level in a zone with – it is necessary to add oil. There is enough that after that oil rose in a zone b.
Depending on a manner of driving and service conditions the consumption of oil can sostavlyanm to 0,5 flax of 1000 km. On the first 5000 кмрасход this value can exceed oils. Therefore it is recommended regularly (best of all during each filling and before a distant trip) to check engine oil level.

Oil level should not be higher than a zone at all and. If it occurs, then oil through system of ventilation of a case and production of the fulfilled gases will be released into the atmosphere. Besides, oil will burn down in the catalyst that can become the reason of its damage.

Oil replacement
Replacement of oil has to be carried out by the expert.
Change oil of the engine with the frequency specified in the service book.
Addition of additives to engine oil is not allowed. The damages arising in connection with application of such means are excluded from guarantee certificates.
For collecting and storage of oil use special capacities. Capacities have to be rather capacious for collecting all oil of the engine.
