1.6.23. Dismantle / installation of a wheel

After moving of wheel bolts and lifting of the car replace with a jack a wheel.

Screw-driver handle hexagon (from a tool set) turn out the most highly located bolt of a wheel and put it on a pure surface (fig. 1.174).

In the released opening screw in a hand the safety finger which is included in the tool package.

Then turn out other bolts according to the above-stated description.

Remove a wheel. The safety finger remains in an opening.

Put on a spare wheel through a safety finger.

Screw wheel bolts and by means of a hexagon of the handle of the screw-driver and slightly tighten them.

Twist a safety finger and also slightly tighten this bolt of a wheel.

Wheel bolts have to be pure and it is easy to go on a carving. Check a surface of a prileganiye of a wheel and a nave. Remove pollution on these surfaces before installation of a wheel.

The internal hexagon in the handle of the screw-driver facilitates a vvorachivaniye and a reversing of wheel bolts. The screw-driver core at the same time has to be taken out by Perestavna.

At installation of wheels with the unidirectional drawing of a protector do not forget about the direction of rotation of a wheel.

NOTE Do not use the internal hexagon executed in the screw-driver handle for moving or for an inhaling of wheel bolts.

Tires with the unidirectional drawing of a protector have to be mounted taking into account the direction of rotation.

The direction of rotation of a wheel is defined by marking in the form of the arrow put on a tire sidewall. Surely observe the specified direction of rotation. Only in this case it will be possible to realize optimum qualities of these tires, such as lack of tendency to hydroplaning, noiselessness and wear resistance.

Installation of a spare wheel opposite to the direction of the movement determined by the drawing of a protector in case of "puncture" demands care at the movement as the tire in this case cannot realize optimum qualities inherent in it fully. Especially we recommend to remember it during wet weather, proportioning the speed of the movement to a condition of the carriageway.

For full use of advantages of the tire with the unidirectional drawing of a protector as soon as possible replace the damaged tire for the purpose of restoration of the right direction of rotation of all tires.

For отворачивания / tightenings of the locked wheel bolts the special adapter is required.

2 remove a protective cap the plastic clip which is included in the tool package.

Insert against the stop the adapter 3 into the locked bolt of a wheel 1.

Install a balloon key against the stop on the adapter 3.

Turn away / tighten a wheel bolt.

For removal of a cap pull a plastic clip over a cap. At the same time internal clamps of a clip have to be latched in a cap fillet.

It is always recommended to carry in the car the adapter for the locked wheel bolt. You store the adapter together with tools.

At an end face of the adapter number of a code of blocking of a wheel bolt is beaten out. At the Audi enterprise on the basis of this number of a code if necessary it is possible to make the duplicate.
