1.6.21. Replacement of a wheel

Replacement of a wheel demands preliminary preparation.

In case of "puncture" of the tire stop on a plain surface and whenever possible far away from a transport stream.

Tighten completely emergency brake.

Include the first transfer (the mechanical transmission) or establish a control lever of the automatic transmission in situation "Р".

To disconnect the trailer from the car (at operation of the trailer).

Take a set of the tool and a spare wheel from a luggage carrier.

ATTENTION When replacing a wheel on the road with the brisk movement turn on the alarm light system and expose a sign of an emergency stop.

For access to wheel bolts take off decorative caps.

Enter the wire capture which is included in the tool package into an opening of a decorative cap (fig. 1.170).

Pull and take off a decorative cap.

Before an otvorachivaniye of wheel bolts remove caps.

Pull the plastic clip which is included in the tool package over a cap. At the same time internal clamps of a clip have to be latched in a cap fillet.

Remove a cap the plastic clip (fig. 1.171) which is included in the tool package.

Move wheel bolts and only then lift the car.

Put on a balloon key against the stop a wheel bolt.

Turn off a wheel bolt approximately on one turn (fig. 1.172) to the left at the same time you hold the key handle as it is possible closer by its end.

Tighten a wheel bolt rotation of a balloon key clockwise. At the same time you hold the key handle as it is possible closer by its end.

ATTENTION While the car costs on the earth, it is only necessary to shift wheel bolts approximately on one turn.

NOTE The internal hexagon executed in the screw-driver handle cannot use for moving or for an inhaling of wheel bolts. Carefully press a leg edge of the handle of a key if the bolt does not move.
