8.3.4. Installation of a windshield

After the end of preparatory work it is necessary to apply glue.

Establish a nozzle by all surface 2 on glass (fig. 8.99).
The direction of drawing – the shooter (fig. 8.99).

NOTE
Section of the glue roller 1 is defined by an opening of a nozzle and speed of drawing.

Apply glue-sealant on perimeter according to the figure 8.100.
Consider various distance to the edge of glass
Insert glass into an aperture by means of two double vacuum captures.

ATTENTION
Glass needs to be inserted within 15 min. after putting glue as differently its gluing properties will decrease.

Level glass in the cross direction.
The distance from the edge of glass to a frame of a roof has to make 6 mm +0,5 mm.

1 insert a water protective slip and press against the stop in fixing brackets 2 only after time of hardening of glue (fig. 8.101).
By pressing you watch that the sealing edge (arrow) of a water protective slip adjoined to glass and did not slide off for the edge of glass.

You apply a sticker (e.g. safety cushions) on a new windshield on the former place (fig. 8.102).
Size a = 25 mm.
Size b = 10 mm.
