2.9.16. Replacement of oil scraper capsRemove
Remove the engine: cars from the manual transmission. cars with the automatic transmission.
Remove chains of the drive of camshafts from these shaft.
Remove camshafts.
Unscrew spark plugs a candle key.
Turn roller levers up and record their rubber plait (fig. 2.464).

Establish the directing plate from the device for installation of crackers of valves on GBTs (fig. 2.465).
Fix the directing plate by means of bolts with a knurled head.
NOTE
At impossibility of fixing of the directing plate drill fixing openings прибл. on 0,5 mm.

Insert a mandrel into an adjusting plate and beat out the got stuck checks of valves the plastic hammer.
Screw a lattice with suspended forks in the directing plate.
Insert an adjusting cartridge into the directing plate.
Twist by hand the adapter with a sealing ring in a nest of the corresponding spark plug and to constantly force pressure.
Minimum pressure: 6 bars of excessive pressure.
Suspend a press fork to a lattice and press an adjusting cartridge down.
At the same time twist a bolt with a nakatka of the adjusting boss to the right until the ends enter valve crackers.
Slightly turn a bolt with the knurled head to the left and to the right, at the expense of it crackers of the valve are unclenched and is captured by the boss.
Release a press fork.
Take an adjusting cartridge.
Turn off the directing plate.
Do not disconnect a pressure head hose.
Remove oil scraper caps by means of a stripper.
Installation
The plastic plug A (fig. 2.175) is included in the package of new oil scraper caps.
NOTE
For removal of oil scraper caps from a set of delivery it is necessary to drill the device for a napressovka of oil scraper caps on diameter of 10,5 mm.

Install the plastic plug A on a valve core in order to avoid damages of new oil scraper caps of Century.
Slightly grease a working edge of an oil scraper cap.
Get an oil scraper cap on the plastic plug.
Accurately press a cap by means of adaptation on the directing valve plug.
Again remove the plastic plug.
After extraction of crackers of the valve from the adjusting boss, they at first need to be inserted into adjusting adaptation (fig. 2.176).
NOTE
Bigger diameter of crackers of the valve specifies up.
Insert a spring of the valve and a plate of a spring.
Again screw the directing plate on a head of the block of cylinders.

Insert an adjusting cartridge into the directing plate.
Press a press fork and pull a bolt with a knurled head up – valve crackers thereby will be inserted.
Unload a press fork at a bolt pulling with a knurled head.
Establish cam-shafts.
Establish chains of the drive of camshafts.
Install the engine.
NOTE
After installation of camshafts the engine it have to is impossible to start Gidrokompensatora within about 30 min. to be besieged (otherwise valves will be adjoin to pistons).

After works on the valvate mechanism scroll the engine by hand not less than two turns that be convinced that any valve does not adjoin to the piston.
Valve sizes
NOTE
It is forbidden to process inlet and final valves. Only grinding in is allowed.

Processing of saddles of valves
NOTE
If due to grinding faultlessness of a working surface of a saddle of the valve is not reached, it should be doobrabotat.

NOTE
At repair of engines with leaky valves valves it is not enough to process or replace saddles of valves and. Especially in engines with long service life it is necessary to check the directing plugs of valves for wear.

Saddles of valves should be processed only so to reach a faultless type of a working surface.
Before processing it is necessary to calculate the most admissible allowance for processing.
At excess of an allowance for processing functioning of hydrocompensators can be broken that will cause replacement of GBTs.
NOTE
If the valve at repair is replaced, then at measurements it is necessary to use the new valve.

Measure distance And between the end of a core of the valve and the average bridge of cam-shafts (the average bridge is located at height of the top edge of GBTs) (fig. 2.466).

Calculate the most admissible allowance for processing, proceeding from the measured distance and the minimum size.
Minimum size
The measured distance minus the minimum size = the most admissible allowance for processing.
Example for the external inlet valve:
The measured distance (39,7 mm) minus the minimum size (39,3 mm) we will receive a max. allowance for processing (0,4 mm).
NOTE
If the most admissible allowance for processing is equal to 0 or less 0 mm, repeat measurement with the new valve. If the result is still equal to 0 mm or less than 0th mm, GBTs should be replaced.
