2.10.15. Removal and installation of cam-shafts

Removal
Bring a radiator frame into service situation.
Remove an engine casing.

Disconnect the vacuum pipeline 3 (fig. 2.512).

NOTE
Water hoses 1 and 2 remain connected (fig. 2.512).

Unscrew bolts 1 and nuts 2.
Unscrew bolts.

Remove a cooler of system of recirculation of OG and postpone it with the connected cooling system hoses (fig. 2.513) aside.

Remove an arm of a cooler of system of recirculation of OG from GBTs (fig. 2.514).
Take off a gear belt.
Take 2kh a lock pin.
Unscrew bolts of gear wheels of a cam-shaft.

Remove gear wheels of cam-shafts from naves (fig. 2.491).

Weaken a fixing bolt of 1 nave of an inlet cam-shaft, using a countersupport (fig. 2.515).

Weaken a fixing bolt of 1 nave of a final cam-shaft, using a countersupport (fig. 2.516).
Turn off fixing bolts of naves approximately on 2 turns.
Put a stripper to a nave of an inlet cam-shaft and twist bolts in a nave.

Remove a nave, holding a hexagon (SW 30) of a stripper and twisting a bolt of 1 (fig. 2.517).
Put a stripper to a nave of a final cam-shaft and twist bolts in a nave.

Remove a nave, holding a hexagon (SW 30) of a stripper and twisting a bolt of 1 (fig. 2.518).

Unscrew bolts of 2 and 4 (fig. 2.519).

NOTE
Bolts 1, 3 and 5 remain twisted.

Remove a hose of ventilation of a case of the engine and a vacuum hose from GBTs cover.

Unscrew GBTs cover bolts in the sequence of 11-1 (fig. 2.509).
Uncover GBTs.

Weaken lock-nuts of 2 adjusting screws 1 on all blocks the pump nozzle (fig. 2.520).
Unscrew adjusting screws so that the corresponding balance weight nestled on a pusher spring the pump nozzle.
Unscrew bolts 1, 3 and 5.

2 and 4 alternately in several stages weaken bolts and unscrew (fig. 2.521).

NOTE
In order that separate details remained recorded on a shaft, it is not necessary to take out bolts from a balance weight axis. If necessary, mark an arrangement of bolts on the balance weight.

Remove a balance weight axis.
Remove the tandem pump.

NOTE
Hoses have to remain connected to the tandem pump.

Take an unblocking pin 1 and turn off a nut with a longitudinal nakatka of 2 (fig. 2.522).
Disconnect the central plug the pump nozzles and incandescence candles.
Disconnect electric sockets from candles of an incandescence and modules the pump nozzles.

ATTENTION
For removal of an electrical wiring it is only necessary to weaken or twist screws on fastening brackets. If disconnect a plait of wires from a clamp, it will be bent and because of the raised side play can break off.

Turn off screws on clamps and put a plait of wires in a set aside.

Turn off other 15 bolts of the module of support evenly, moving from edge inside (fig. 2.523).
Hand unscrew squeezing SW15 screws of a frame counterclockwise against the stop.
Install a frame on the module of support as it is shown, and tighten fixing bolts of SW 10 with the moment of 10 N · m.
Rotate release bolts by hand clockwise against the stop in bolts of a head of the block of cylinders.
Now evenly twist squeezing bolts in the sequences which are specified on heads of bolts to separation of the module of support from a head of the block of cylinders.
Take the module of support.

NOTE
Mark accessory of inserts on a reverse side by means of a waterproof marker.

Take cam-shafts.

Installation
Remove the sealant remains on the module of support and GBTs, for example, by means of the rotating plastic brush.

NOTE
Replace the bolts tightened on a certain corner.

Clear landing surfaces; on them there should not be an oil and lubricant.
Check whether there is a crankshaft in VMT.
The gear wheel of a gear belt of the crankshaft in VMT of the cylinder 1 is recorded by a crankshaft stopper for engines with a round gear wheel of a gear belt of the crankshaft or a stopper of the crankshaft for engines with an oval gear wheel of a gear belt of the crankshaft.

NOTE
You watch that inserts of bearings of a cam-shaft were not mixed.

At installation of a cam-shaft you monitor the correct landing of the holding ledges of inserts in covers of the bearing and a head of the block of cylinders.
Oil flutes of cam-shafts engine.
Insert cam-shafts in the provision of VMT of the cylinder 1.

On both cam-shafts cams 1 and 2 tsil.1 have to be turned (fig. 2.524) up.
Grooves in cam-shafts have to be also directed up.
Cut off a tube nose on a forward mark (diameter of an opening about 2 mm).
Apply sealant on the pure landing surface of the module of support.

Sealant roller thickness: 2 mm (fig. 2.525).

NOTE
The module of support has to be installed within 5 min. after putting sealant.

Evenly tighten bolts 1. 20, moving from the center to edge.
1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 axes of the balance weight to tighten bolts on 90 ° (1/4 About.) (fig. 2.523).
Further installation is carried out in the return sequence.
Connect the central plug the pump nozzles and incandescence candles.
Install blocks the pump nozzle.
Install the tandem pump.
Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
Establish epiploons of camshafts.
Establish a gear belt (adjust gas distribution phases).
Establish a quencher of tortional fluctuations.
Establish poliklinovy a belt.
Establish a cooler of system of recirculation of OG.
Establish a radiator frame with hinged elements.
Lower an emphasis of a forward support at the expense of a body weight on the rubber buffer and tighten nuts.
Establish an overlay of a front bumper.

NOTE
After installation of cam-shafts the engine cannot be started within about 30 min. Hydraulic pushers have to fall (otherwise valves will be adjoin to pistons).

After works on the valvate mechanism scroll the engine by hand not less than two turns that be convinced that any valve does not adjoin to the piston.

Inhaling moments
The module of support to GBTs: 20 N · m.
Axis of the balance weight and GBTs*: 20 N · m +90 ° **.
Back cover of a gear belt to the module of support ***: 10 N · m.
Arm of a cooler of system of recirculation of OG to GBTs: 10 N · m.
Emphasis of a forward support to a radiator frame: 28 N · m.
Hose collars, width are 9 mm: 3 N · m.
Hose collars, width are 13 mm: 5,5 N · m.
* Replace bolts.
** 90 ° there correspond quarters of a turn.
*** To insert bolts, previously having greased them with a carving varnish; carving varnish.
