Diagonal spots of uneven wear pass at an angle about 45 ° relatively to the direction of a circle of the tire (fig. 4.10).
Most often on all circle of a protector such spot one, but and several "shabby spots" sometimes meet.
Such spots of wear meet almost only on tires of not driving wheels, especially on back left. There are models of cars on which such wear of tires, and also models which are completely saved from similar problems is often shown. This effect amplifies a strong convergence. The values of a convergence lying at the lower limit of the admission of the ordered adjustments improve the characteristic of wear.
In the field of the most strongly worn-out diagonal spots often there is a joint of elements of the tire.
Wheels with a positive convergence even at the rectilinear movement on inertia slide with the angle of side withdrawal. It leads to diagonal deformation in a zone of contact of the tire with a paving.
When driving with insufficiently beefy tires such nature of wear increases. For avoiding of similar wear the convergence of both back wheels has to be identical, besides it is necessary watch correctness of pressure of air in tires.
At detection of spots of uneven wear these wheels are recommended to be established on the leading axis provided that wear still is in an early stage. Deeper spots of uneven wear are incurable.

Adjustment error
At the complaint to "diagonal spots of uneven wear" it is necessary check adjustment of a convergence. If the convergence is normal, then the reason with big degree of probability is covered in the tire.
Tires with diagonal spots of uneven wear, appeared because of the wrong adjustment of angles of installation of wheels, do not fall under a guarantee.
