3.3.9. Adjustment of a cable of the automatic transmission selector

Remove the panel of the drive of inclusion of transfers.

NOTE There are differences between cars with drives of inclusion of transfers of "PRND" (about model year 2004) and cars with drives of inclusion of PRNDS broadcasts (since model year 2005). On cars with drives of inclusion of transfers of "PRND" (about model year 2004) the cable of the automatic transmission selector is regulated in position of the D selector. On cars with drives of inclusion of PRNDS broadcasts (since model year 2005) the cable of the automatic transmission selector is regulated in position of the S selector.

Transfer the automatic transmission selector to situation "D".

Through an opening in the drive of gear shifting weaken back tightening an automatic transmission selector cable bolt a wrench approximately on one turn (fig. 3.104).

NOTE Tightening weaken a bolt only on one turn – do not turn off. Tightening the bolt is available only in position of the D selector. At the weakened tightening bolt the automatic transmission selector has to remain in situation "D".

Carefully slightly you move the selector back and forth, at the same time do not switch it in any situation, thanks to it the cable of the selector is weakened.

Check the accuracy of setup of the automatic transmission selector in situation "D", for this purpose press the selector in the direction of a driver's seat (arrow A).

NOTE Do not switch the automatic transmission selector during adjustment any more. In this situation, without moving the selector, wrap tightening a bolt a wrench.

Transfer the automatic transmission selector to situation "S".

Through an opening in the drive of gear shifting weaken back tightening an automatic transmission selector cable bolt a wrench approximately on one turn (fig. 3.104).

NOTE Tightening weaken a bolt only on one turn – do not turn off. Tightening the bolt is available only in position of the S selector. At the weakened tightening bolt the automatic transmission selector has to remain surely in situation "S" since otherwise the correct control is impossible.

Carefully slightly you move the selector back and forth, at the same time without switching it in any other situation.

Once again transfer the selector against the stop back to situation "S" and release it.

NOTE Do not switch the automatic transmission selector during adjustment any more. In this situation, without moving the selector, wrap tightening a bolt a wrench.

Install the panel of the drive of inclusion of transfers.

Check the drive of inclusion of transfers.

Tightening a bolt to an automatic transmission selector cable: 13 N · m.
