8.2.6. Repair of the central lock

In the A4 cars the electric central lock, but not pneumatic as earlier is put.

Executive elements are in the doorway built-in in the lock of a door and are supplied with 2 electric motors.

Executive elements separately are not replaced.

The first electric motor locks a door, and the second – the internal handle of opening of a door (memory function).

In this case doors cannot be opened from within.

In executive elements of the hatch of the fuel tank and a cover of a luggage compartment it is located on the engine, they can be replaced separately.

After accident with operation of a safety cushion the TsZ control unit unlocks doors if they were blocked.

The control unit of the central lock is before the driver's seat, under a rug.
