Unscrew bolts 1 from an overlay of a bumper 2 from above (fig. 8.2).

Unscrew bolts 1 from an overlay of a bumper 2 from above.

Unscrew a bolt 4 on inside of a wing 3.

NOTE The bolt will be available only after the wing arch casing is removed.

The plug-in nut 5 is inserted into an overlay of a bumper (fig. 8.3).

Weaken bolts and quick-detachable fastenings 1 and 2 and remove a noise isolation (fig. 8.4).

NOTE For descriptive reasons wheels in drawings are presented in the removed form.

Remove the right and left flap in a forward part (arrow) (fig. 8.5).

Install the flap into place And.

Turn off a bolt 2 and nuts of 1 (fig. 8.6).

NOTE In the RS4 models it is also in addition necessary release fastening on wing inside.

Razblokruyte bumper sidewalls from a clamp of Century.

Repeat these operations on the opposite side of the car.

By means of the screw-driver release lock hooks 1.4 (shooters) and remove an air intake lattice to the left and to the right in the lower part of a bumper (fig. 8.7).

In cars starting with identification number of the car 400 001 – weaken an adjusting bolt 3 on a support 5.

At the same time the countersupport 4 will enter a support 5 and will release an overlay of a bumper of 1 (fig. 8.8).

Turn off lock bolts of a bumper at the left and on the right, прибл. 15 turns (shooter) (fig. 8.9).

NOTE In cars, starting with indentifikatsionny number 400 001, it is necessary to turn out lock bolts completely.

Carefully pull a bumper forward.

Where it is necessary, disconnect a hose of 1 washer of headlights and merge water in the pure tank for further use (fig. 8.10).

Disconnect the shtekerny socket(s) 2 bumpers (fig. 8.10).

Installation is carried out in the return sequence.

NOTE Before installation of a bumper check existence of carving pins on bumper sidewalls, and also castle clips and plugs in wings.

Install a bumper on the power absorbing buffer and to connect a hose of 1 washer of headlights and shtekerny sockets 2 (fig. 8.10).

Establish a bumper in assembly situation. You watch that carving pins in sidewalls of a bumper entered openings in wings.

Install the flap into place And.

Insert bumper sidewalls into a clamp In (fig. 8.6).

Put the clamps 1 (4 N · l) and a bolt 2 (1 N · м).

Repeat these operations on the opposite side of the car.

Twirl lock bolts of a bumper (shooter) to the right and to the left (23 N · l) (fig. 8.9).

Establish the left and right airintaking lattice in a bumper.

Installation is carried out in the return sequence.
