5.2.1. Shipping protection

The new steering columns delivered as spare parts are recorded by means of shipping protection.

After installation of a steering column in the car this protection needs to be removed.

In case of removal and installation of the steering column which was in the use it is necessary to provide protection against separation of the top and lower parts of a steering column at removal from the steering mechanism. For such protection use a collar or a wire.

If the top and lower parts of a steering column too strongly to move apart or enter each other, then gear gearing will be separated.

It orazy at further operation emergence of knocks is possible if teeths do not rise in the initial situation.
