7.5.13. The general instructions on repair electricians of the car

ATTENTION
At shutdown and connection of joint stock bank surely observe the sequence of actions described in the repair manual.

ATTENTION
Some tools have a safety loop which after use of the tool should be dressed on a working part of the tool to protect the tool from damages, and the worker from injuries.

At any repair observe the existing indications of the corresponding repair manuals.
Follow the rules existing in the country.
Before works with electric equipment it is necessary disconnect a weight wire from the rechargeable battery.
Having turned off a weight wire from the rechargeable battery (the termination of current in a chain), to secure works on electric equipment. It is necessary to turn off the plus plug only for removal of the rechargeable battery.
Before repair it is necessary to remove at first the damage cause, for example, for a body detail with keen edges, the faulty electric consumer, corrosion.
At repair of conducting of onboard network carrying out welding works is forbidden.
Repair of conducting and plugs of onboard network is allowed to be carried out only by means of set for repair of cables.
At repair of cables use only wires of yellow color.
The repaired places of wires are forbidden to be wound in a standard automobile insulating tape again, these places need to be designated a yellow insulating tape.
The yellow wires and places designated by a yellow insulating tape specify that earlier repairs were made here.
Blooming sleeves are forbidden to be repaired. At an opportunity to carry out a new wire parallel to damaged.
After pressure testing a blooming sleeve it is necessary to seat not to allow hit of moisture in it.
Surely observe additional instructions on repair of conducting in systems of safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts, light guides, wires of the tire of CAN, antenna cables and wires with a section up to 0,35 mm2.
After each repair it is necessary to test work of the repaired element. If necessary it is necessary to consider memories of malfunctions, to clear them and/or to return systems to a starting position.
Whenever possible do not turn off a weight wire from a body (danger of corrosion).
Repair of wires in systems of safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts
In addition to the general repair of conducting at repair of wires in systems of safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts it is necessary observe the following instructions

ATTENTION
The system of safety cushions and prednatyazhitel of seat belts can fail.
Non-compliance with instructions at repair of plaits of wires of prednatyazhitel and safety cushions can lead to refusal of these systems of passive safety.
At repair of wires of safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts it is allowed use only the contacts intended for this purpose, plugs and wires.

NOTE
Wires of safety cushions and natyazhitel of belts are allowed to be repaired only by means of set for repair of cables.
Follow indications of stickers on the parts of the car concerning elements with the increased tension. At repair work it is necessary to dump residual pressure.

The wire of a safety cushion or natyazhitel of a seat belt is allowed to repair no more, than in two places (fig. 7.108).
Places where repairs were made, increase electric resistance, and thus can cause failures in self-diagnostics of system.
At repair of plaits of wires of the module of a safety cushion and natyazhitel of a seat belt blooming connectors have to be surely seated not to allow corrosion.
At repair of cables use only wires of yellow color.
Not to wind the repaired place with a standard insulating tape, it should be designated, having wound with a yellow insulating tape.

The repaired place in the field of a safety cushion and a natyazhitel of a seat belt has to be not further than in 30 cm from the following case of the socket (fig. 7.109).
Together with designation by a yellow insulating tape it provides the easy review of the carried-out repair work.
Wires to pyros (safety cushions) in mass production have twist with a step of 20 mm ±5. Such step to twist is designated in mass production by numbers of standard details for couples of wires therefore at repair follows surely observe a step of twisted wires.

At repair of a wire to pyros (safety cushions) have to be identical length. When twisting wires 1 and 2 the step to twist of A=20 mm ± has to be by all means sustained (fig. 7.110).
At the same time the wire piece, for example, in the field of welded contacts more long than B=100 mm without twisting of wires should not be formed.
