7.2.12. Charging of the rechargeable battery

NOTE
Chargers load joint stock bank without peak values of current and tension. Therefore the joint stock bank can be loaded also in the established state. At the same time it is necessary to follow safety regulations. Both devices have the mode of buffer compensation at which the device undertakes food of electric chains.

For work on electric equipment with the electroconsumers included from time to time it is necessary to charge the accumulator with the charger with the mode of buffer compensation to avoid damage of joint stock bank.

ATTENTION
Provide good ventilation.
In rooms in which accumulator charging is made there should not be sources of direct light, and these rooms should not be used for smoking. It is connected with the fact that in the course of charging flammable gas is emitted.
Observe instructions according to safety measures of manufacturers of chargers and accumulators.

Bystry accumulator charging
Switch off the accumulator charger.

ATTENTION
On cars with the Telematik system before shutdown of joint stock bank activate an operating mode of the Telematik control unit.

For the cars equipped with the radio tape recorder / radio navigational system with a protective code (only cars of other producers), consider a protective code, if necessary request it.
Switch off ignition.

Connect a clip of the 5th plus wire of the charger 1 to a conclusion of a positive pole 4, and a clip 2 wires of mass of the charger – to a conclusion of a negative pole of 3 (fig. 7.16).

The accumulator in a luggage carrier
Shift a cover over a conclusion of a positive pole 1 to the right and remove it the movement of 2 (fig. 7.2) up.
Disconnect a clip and to open a cover 2 over a conclusion of a positive pole.

Connect a clip 3 plus wires of the charger to a conclusion of a positive pole 4, and a clip of the 5th wire of mass of the charger – to a conclusion of a negative pole of 1 (fig. 7.17).

For all accumulators
Establish charging current on the charger according to accumulator capacity.
Charging current has to make прибл. 10% of accumulator capacity (for the accumulator with a capacity of 60 And / hour прибл. 6 A).
Turn on the charger.
Upon termination of charging double-check tension of rest of joint stock bank.
Connect the accumulator.
