6.3.9. Removal and installation of cables of the parking brake (cars with the four-wheel drive)

NOTE
Adjusting elements of cables of the parking brake are in front of back lower levers.

Removal
Remove the extender of the central console.
Remove wheels
Disconnect a back exhaust pipe
Remove the heat-insulating screen behind on a tank
Remove the back tunnel filter (passing under a power shaft)
Remove the back tunnel filter (passing over a power shaft)

Take a lock washer 1 and to unhook cables of the parking brake from a support (fig. 6.47).

NOTE
Do not damage a corrugated cover of a cable of the parking brake at removal and installation.

Unblock a cable of a brake 1 of the holder of 3 (fig. 6.52).
Release a cable of a brake 3 of the holder of 2 (fig. 6.53).
Unblock cables of a brake 1 of holders of 2 and 4 (fig. 6.54). To have an opportunity hang new cables, it is necessary remove the lever of the parking brake and install the mechanism in a starting position.
Installation
The tightening loop of the holder has to be between both rings for positioning 5

NOTE
The place of a clip of the holder 4 has to be always turned "outside of the car" (fig. 6.54).

Moment of an inhaling of poses. 3 makes 1,5 N · m
Hang a cable of a support of an exhaust pipe.
Fix a cable of the parking brake on the bottom or a tank and insert into the lever of a brake support.

NOTE
Do not damage a corrugated cover of a cable of the parking brake at removal and installation.

Hang a cable of the parking brake on a support and establish a lock washer of 1 (fig. 6.47). Rings 1 for positioning of a cable have to is between points of a clip of the holder (fig. 6.52). Moment of an inhaling of poses. 2: 25 N · m.
Mount heat-insulating screens.
Adjust the emergency brake.
Install the extender of the central console.
