6.3.10. Removal and installation of the lever of the emergency brakeRemoval
Remove the extender of the central console.
Unblock the handle 1 the screw-driver 3 and take (fig. 6.56).

Unscrew the screw 2 with a six-sided head and remove an arm 1, the moment of an inhaling of 6 N · m (fig. 6.58). With two suspended cables
Insert the screw-driver into an unblocking opening.
Press the screw-driver in the direction of "the middle of range of adjustment".
Hold the screw-driver pressed and slowly put the lever of the parking brake in action.

NOTE
You watch that hooks did not jump out of cable eyes.

Remove the screw-driver.
To lower cables of the parking brake.
With one suspended cable

Unblock the mechanism by means of the screw-driver 2, at the same time press the second hook of a latch 1 screw-driver in the opposite direction (fig. 6.59). Turn off nuts with a fillet 1, the moment of an inhaling of 25 N · m.
Disconnect the contact switch of the parking brake

Remove the lever of the parking brake 2 from the console (fig. 6.60). Install the adjusting mechanism in a starting position
Clamp a latch hook in a vice.
Unblock the mechanism by means of the screw-driver 2, at the same time press the second hook of a latch the screw-driver in the opposite direction (fig. 6.61).
Installation
Installation is carried out in the return sequence.
Install the extender of the central console.
Tighten a hand both nuts 1.

NOTE
Access to a back nut is available through an opening for an ashtray, and to a forward nut – through dredging in a floor of a ware compartment.

Center the lever of the parking brake of the mine of the central console (fig. 6.62). Tighten nuts, the moment of an inhaling of 25 N · m.
Adjust the emergency brake.
