The hydraulic control unit is in a motor compartment (fig. 6.69) at the left.

At cars with the coded radio tape recorder pay attention to the coding, if necessary make request of a code.

ATTENTION Bending of highways of the brake system is not allowed.

Disconnect plugs from the rechargeable battery.

Unblock the plug from the control unit in the direction of an arrow and disconnect its (fig. 6.70).

Insert the device for pressing of a pedal of a brake between a pedal of a brake and the driver's seat. Press a brake pedal not less than on 60 mm.

Remove the device for pressing of a pedal of a brake only when all highways of the brake system are again connected to the hydraulic block.

NOTE Protect a motor compartment from the following brake fluid.

Turn off brake tubes from the hydraulic block.

Unscrew the fixing screw 1 and take capacity in the direction of an arrow forward, to remove a broad tank of cooling liquid (fig. 6.71) aside

NOTE Take measures for protection of the water taking away box and a motor compartment from the following brake fluid.

Unscrew highways 1, 2 and 3.

NOTE Since model year 2002, between highways the flexible hose is established, in earlier designs it is necessary to dismantle highways of the brake system on the amplifier of brakes.

Turn off highways of the brake system 1 and 2 and Close caps from a remkomplekt of ET. – No. 1H0 698 311 (fig. 6.73)

Disconnect sockets 1.

Unblock highways of the brake system from an arm of 2 (fig. 6.74)

Unblock a clip from below 1 and take in the direction of an arrow.

Take the hydraulic control unit (fig. 6.75)

At installation especially it is necessary to observe the following.

It is only necessary to remove from the new hydraulic control unit of a cap when the corresponding brake pipeline is installed.

If to remove caps from the hydraulic block in advance, then brake fluid can flow out. Appropriate filling and pumping cannot be as a result guaranteed.

Pump over the brake system.

Disconnect the rechargeable battery.
