4.2.3. Noise in shock-absorbers

Shock-absorbers often are rejected and change because of foreign knocks. The researches conducted at the stand and on cars showed that apprx. 70% of allegedly rejected shock-absorbers were not rejected, and replacement was unreasonable.

In case of malfunctions, interpreted as foreign knocks or clicks, act as follows.

During a trial trip – whenever possible, on the dry uneven road – with find out where when and as noise prove.

NOTE In the most exceptional cases the shock-absorber is the reason of noise.
