7.3.1. Removal and installation of the generator (cars with 4-tsit. petrol engine of 1,6 l, turbocharged engine of 1,8 l, MPI of 2,0 l and FSI 2,0 l)
Disconnect a weight wire in the accumulator at the switched-off ignition.
When opening a broad tank with cooling liquid there can be a hot steam or hot cooling liquid; cover a cover with rags and to open carefully.
Open a cover of a broad tank of cooling liquid.
Uncover a motor compartment.
In cars with an autonomous heater unscrew screws of an exhaust pipe of an autonomous heater and additional heater on the noise-insulating screen.
Release screws or quick disconnect clamps 1 and 2 and remove the forward noise-insulating screen.
Substitute the pallet for service cranes or under the engine.

Remove a safety bracket 1 and take the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid at the exit of a radiator of 2 (fig. 7.19)
Merge cooling liquid only from a radiator.

Remove the top hose of cooling liquid from a radiator (fig. 7.20)

Turn off and remove the control unit of the fan of cooling liquid and to put aside (fig. 7.21)
Before removal of a poliklinovy belt note the direction of its movement by chalk or a felt-tip pen. The movement in the opposite direction of the belt which was already in the use can lead to its gap.
For weakening of a tension of a poliklinovy belt turn the tension device on an arrow (fig. 7.22)
Take off poliklinovy a belt from a generator pulley.
To release the tension device.
Disconnect the socket 1.
Cars with the petrol engine of 2,0 l.
Unscrew screws at the top of and below (shooters) and incline the generator (fig. 7.24)
Disconnect the socket 2.
Take the generator.
Establish in the return sequence.
Pay attention to correctness of landing and the course of a poliklinovy belt (fig. 7.26)
Connect the accumulator.
Start the engine and check the belt course.
The generator to the engine: 23 N · m.
The plug 30/B + to the generator: 16 N · m.
