1.1.1. Car parameters
The most important parameters are specified in the name plate with designation of model of the car and in the plate with parameters.

The name plate with designation of model is on the right side of podkapotny space (in the direction of travel) (fig. 1.1)
On some modifications of the car the name plate with designation of model is closed by a cover.

The plate with parameters of the car is located in a niche for a spare wheel under a flooring of a luggage compartment (fig. 1.2)
The sticker contains the following data:
1. Number of the car as subject to production control;
2. Number of identification (chassis) of the car;
3. Digital designation of model;
4. Name of model/engine capacity;
5. Alphabetic reference of the engine and transmission;
6. Code of a paint and varnish covering / option of finishing and complete set of salon;
7. Code of a custom complete set.
Car parameters in the service book
The plate fragment with parameters of the car is also in the service book.
The plate with parameters is located in a niche for a spare wheel. The fragment of the plate is pasted on inside of a cover of the service book before a car holiday to the buyer.
Data of own weight, fuel consumption and emission of CO2
At the end of the field of number of the custom equipment of the plate with parameters of the car it is possible to find data of own weight, fuel consumption, and also emission of CO2 of the car.

Fuel and gas station
The corresponding grade of gasoline will help to avoid damages of the engine and reduces load of the environment.
There are various grades of gasoline.
Distinguish unleaded and ethylated gasoline. All Audi cars are equipped with the catalyst and therefore have to refuel only unleaded gasoline. Unleaded gasoline has to conform to the DIN EN 228 standard.
Each grade of gasoline is characterized by octane number. At absence in emergency situation of the corresponding grade of gasoline it is necessary to know the following:
cars with the engine on unleaded gasoline with octane number of 95 (Super) can be fuelled also unleaded with octane number of 91 (Normal). However it leads to insignificant loss of power.
cars with the engine on unleaded gasoline with octane number of 98 (Super plus) can be fuelled also unleaded with octane number of 95 (Super). However under adverse service conditions insignificant loss of power is possible. In the absence of unleaded gasoline with octane number of 95 (Super) it is possible to refuel in emergency unleaded gasoline with octane number of 91 (Normal). In this case to move only with average of turns and insignificant loading of the engine. To avoid high loadings of the engine, moving with completely squeezed out accelerator pedal. As soon as possible to refuel the car gasoline with the corresponding octane number (Super).
Additives improve quality of gasoline.
Quality of gasoline influences work, power and durability of the engine. Therefore fill the car with qualitative gasoline with the added additives (additiva). Such additives clear a power supply system and prevent emergence of deposits in the engine.
In the absence of the qualitative gasoline containing additives or at emergence of violations of operation of the engine add to gasoline when filling necessary additives.
Not all petrol additives are effective. Therefore it is recommended to use the approved original additives for petrol Volkswagen/Audi engines.
It is necessary to use diesel fuel with cetane number not lower than 51. The cetane number is criterion of an inflammability of diesel fuel. Diesel fuel has to conform to the DIN EN 590 standard.
Diesel fuel additives
To diesel fuel it is impossible to add additives, so nazyvemy "flux oil", gasoline, etc. of means.
At poor quality of fuel, removal of water from a settler of the fuel filter perhaps will be required to be made more often than it is provided by the frequency specified in the service book. to result in malfunction
RME fuel (biodiesel)
Only cars with the corresponding preparation of a power supply system can be operated on biodiesel fuel.
RME fuel has to conform to the DIN EN 14 214 (FAME) standard.
Features of RME fuel
At operation on RME fuel insignificant power deceleration can take place.
At operation on RME fuel insignificant increase in fuel consumption can take place.
Fuelling of the RME car with an autonomous heater since violation of the mode of its work is possible is not allowed.
Upon transition from diesel fuel to RME fuel the fuel filter can get littered. Therefore approximately through 300400 km after transition to RME fuel it is recommended to replace the fuel filter.
In case of the planned idle time of the car about more than 2 weeks it is recommended to fuel previously a full tank diesel and to pass about 50 km on the car. It will allow to avoid damages to system of injection of fuel.
Operation of the car on RME fuel demands carrying out additional regulations of maintenance.
Winter diesel fuel
When using summer option of diesel fuel at a temperature below 0 C there can come interruptions in operation of the engine that is explained by solidification of fuel as a result of release of paraffin. "Winter diesel fuel" (depending on fuel brand) unlike "summer" provides uninterrupted operation also in the temperature range from 15 C to 22 C.
In the countries with other climatic conditions diesel fuel with other temperature characteristics is used. The Audi enterprises and gas stations of the respective countries provide information on diesel fuel.
In winter conditions use of RM E fuel is allowed at a temperature approximately to 10 C.
At an external temperature less than -10 C it is recommended to fuel the car winter diesel.
The car with an autonomous heater in cold season should be fuelled mainly diesel. Otherwise interruptions of its work are possible.
